The Alpha course is a series of conversations that explore the basics of the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening environment. It's designed for those who are curious about Christianity, don't go to church, or are new to the faith. The course includes talks, discussions, and opportunities to connect with others, and will be on Tuesday nights @ 6:30-8:30 pm from September 9th to November 4th.

Join us for a “Youth-only” 30x30 event at Arcade Monsters, hosted by Bruxy! (Brittany and/or Clay will be there, too) Get ready for a night full of games, friends, and non-stop fun! 

Location: Arcade Monsters San Diego - right across from PETCO Park
Cost: $25 per person (includes unlimited free play – no re-entry, purchase ticket at the door)
Food: Bring cash if you want to grab food or snacks
Time: 6:30-9pm

Arcade Monsters is huge - 3,000+ square feet, two floors, and over 200 games. Think retro classics, rhythm games, pinball, racing sims, consoles, and more, all on free play for the night.

Who can come?
This event is for youth in Grades 6–12, and adults are welcome to join their students.

Makers' Youth will be cruising over to UTC mall on Tuesday, September 16th for an epic picture scavenger hunt!!! 

We'll meet in the church parking lot for van pool at 6:00pm and leave PROMPTLY at 6:15pm. Pickup will be back at the church parking lot at 8:30pm.

Join us at Joseph and Jazzie’s apartment in the UTC area at 6:30 pm for dinner and board games! Dinner is provided, and there will be dairy/gluten free and vegetarian options (text us please if you have other dietary restrictions). Feel free to bring drinks/desserts if you want. Older kids who can understand and play board games are welcome! 

Join us for a relaxed backyard BBQ hosted by Pastor Derrick and Laurel, just for those who are new to Makers in the past year! This is a great chance to connect with others and enjoy some good food. We’ll have the grill going, games for the kids, and space to hang out and get to know each other. Come as you are and bring a friend—we’d love to see you there!

Enjoy a Mexican feast with the Care Team! We would love to hang with you and also do some backyard Care-oke. You are welcome to stay inside if karaoke is not your jam :) 

Families welcome! The yard is fenced in; there is a play house and basketball hoop to let them run wild. 

There will be gluten free and vegan options. 

Jhun and Andrew are making fancy tacos and ramen. Kids are super welcome, and please bring a side dish to share. 

Join us for a hands-on volunteer event at Feeding San Diego, where we’ll be helping sort and pack food for local families in need. This is a great opportunity to make a tangible impact in the fight against hunger while serving together as a community. Feeding San Diego distributes over 29 million meals annually, and your time will directly support that mission. Excited to show up with heart + help to bring hope to our neighbors!

All volunteers must register by September 10 by using this link.

Please arrive by 5:50pm, as the shift starts promptly at 6:00pm and ends at 8:00pm. Closed-toe shoes are required, and only bottled water is allowed in the warehouse. Volunteers must be at least 6 years old, and minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult following Feeding San Diego’s supervision ratios. Also, feel free to bring a food donation! See flyer!

Join Tom Dilree for happy hour at Kindred in South Park. It was one of Tom's mom Nancy's favorite places to grab a drink. There is vegan food, and it’s family-friendly. Hope to see you there!

Please join us at our home in North Park for a family-friendly happy hour and wine tasting. Please bring your favorite wine (if you want) for our wine tasting. We will provide vegan nibbles for all and will also have beverages for those under 21. 

Come for the food, stay for the company. We’ll have a table full of good eats, a patio full of great people, and enough stories to last until dessert (yes, there will be dessert). It’s casual, it’s cozy, and it’s the kind of night where seconds are encouraged and leaving early is not.

Join us for a lovely evening at the beautiful Bahia Resort Hotel in San Diego! Dinner will be served at 6:00pm with a delicious buffet dinner in the Shell & Ventana Venue, with gorgeous marina and ocean views.

As the sun sets, head outside to unwind by a beachside bonfire, complete with ocean breezes and laid-back vibes. (and smore's, of course :) We hope this evening is a time of connection and encouragement for the Maker's family, a chance to relax, share, and feel supported in community together!

Cost: This event is free to attend. A cash bar will be available for adults.

Parking: Complimentary "public" parking is available on a limited basis on Gleason Road and Ventura Cove — overflow parking is also available on Bonita Cove. These lots are neither owned nor operated by the Bahia Resort Hotel. Parking and traffic conditions may be challenging over the weekends. We highly encourage early arrivals and/or carpooling.
