Hope For San Diego
Hope for San Diego envisions a renewed city where even the most vulnerable can thrive. You want to be part of making that vision a reality, but the magnitude of the problems can seem overwhelming. You question where to begin. That's why Hope for San Diego offers one place to care for and invest in your under-served neighbors. Together, we can welcome the stranger, love the abandoned, rescue the oppressed, and heal the broken." At Makers church, we partner with Hope For San Diego by giving to their organization as well as participating in their yearly Day of Service. At World Relief, we partner with the local church and hundreds of individual volunteers to assist newly arrived families in the United States. Since our founding over 40 years ago, we’ve welcomed over 294,000 refugees to the United States in partnership with the U.S. Department of State, and have served over 125,000 other immigrants by providing vital services and community connections. Whether it’s securing housing, supplying basic necessities, or enrolling children in school, we come alongside these families every step of the way as they begin on the path to belonging." We at Makers partner with World Relief by volunteering as Good Neighbor teams and hosts. If you are interested in joining a team or hosting a refugee family, please let us know!
